Upstream Energy Capital, LLC was founded in 2008 by Mr. John E. Domingue, a seasoned professional with over 25+ years of experience in capital markets transactions within the oil and gas sector. His expertise extends to both onshore and offshore operations. In the past decade, Mr. Domingue has also established himself as a specialist in mergers and acquisitions, driving transactions in the oilfield middle market.

Prior to his involvement in capital markets, Mr. Domingue successfully started and developed an oilfield service company that focused on the design and manufacture of wireline equipment. This company achieved significant success, selling its products both domestically and internationally.

Mr. Domingue’s career in the financial markets began in 1980 when he worked as a commercial banker. During this time, he served as Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending, specializing in Exploration & Production and oilfield service companies. His lending portfolio exceeded $50.0 million.

Throughout his career, Mr. Domingue has participated in transactions totaling more than $200 million. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, which he obtained in 1980.
