Toilsome Partners is a boutique financial advisory firm that specializes in providing a range of services to small and micro cap public companies, as well as early to late stage private companies. Our services include general corporate advisory work, such as assisting with the preparation of corporate and investor marketing material, creating investor introductions and non-transactional road shows, and advising on capital needs, financing, and structure. We also focus on positioning and visibility in the public markets for our public companies.

For our private companies, we offer similar services, excluding Investor Relation campaigns. However, we do pre-market public ready companies to investors. We provide guidance on various financing opportunities, including angel and VC investments, bridge type financings to going public transactions, and going public transactions when appropriate. Additionally, we advise on capital needs and appropriate structure, targeting relationships in the private equity and family office communities.

With over ten years of experience at his predecessor Investment Banking firm, HCFP/Brenner Securities, Mr. Shaffer has been directly involved in capital raises exceeding $1 billion for small and micro cap companies across different industries and structures.

Toilsome Partners is currently affiliated with Pelion Securities, a full-service broker dealer, through which transactions are processed. Additionally, Mr. Shaffer has numerous affiliations that can be leveraged to provide the necessary services. For instance, if a cross-border M&A transaction requires foreign expertise and “on the ground” services, Toilsome will partner with the appropriate vendor.

With a 25-year career in finance, Mr. Shaffer has cultivated extensive relationships both domestically and internationally, particularly in Europe and the Far East. He utilizes these relationships with a targeted approach to successfully close transactions.
