Julian Solomons, Managing Partner

Mr. Solomons, the former Number One Intermediary Nationwide for five out of eight years with the VR Brokerage Group, is a seasoned professional in the field. Born in London, England, he graduated from Westminster University with a degree in Economics, Law, and Accounting, which is comparable to an MBA.

With executive roles in various multinational public companies in the UK, including a subsidiary of WR Grace in New York, Mr. Solomons gained valuable experience in sales and marketing. He later partnered to establish a highly successful engineering and electroplating company in London, generating millions in revenue.

In 1981, Mr. Solomons immigrated to the US and continued his entrepreneurial journey by building and selling two companies during the 80s and 90s. Joining VR M&A as an intermediary in 2001, he consistently ranked among the top five nationwide. In early 2010, he left to establish Solomons Advisors (SSA).

Specializing in the sale of Aerospace & Defense Engineering Companies, Manufacturing, and Business to Business Service Companies, Mr. Solomons also assists companies seeking strategic partnerships and the sale of Intellectual Property. Notably, he holds his own US Patent. Leveraging his sales, marketing, and negotiation skills, combined with nearly four decades of solid business experience, Mr. Solomons has a proven track record of achieving exceptional terms for his clients.

Janet D. Purves, Partner

Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Janet D. Purves relocated to Toronto, Canada, during her late teens before settling in California, where she has lived and worked for over twenty years. She graduated from George Brown College in Toronto.

Since the late 1990s, Ms. Purves has gained extensive experience in various fields, including business, corporate, securities, M&A, and IPO. She has worked with reputable firms such as Baker & McKenzie, Cooley Godward Kronish, and Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton. With her meticulous attention to detail and vast knowledge of complex transactions, Ms. Purves ensures that SSA clients receive superior service and a smooth deal process.
