Scarsdale Equities LLC

Scarsdale Equities LLC was established in honor of Robert H. Brimberg, fondly known as ‘Scarsdale Fats’ on Wall Street. This nickname, given by a Boston banker, became immortalized in the renowned book ‘The Money Game’ by Adam Smith, first published in 1967 and still widely read today.

During the 1960s, Robert Brimberg fostered a close-knit community of investment professionals by hosting regular luncheons. These luncheons provided a neutral platform for guests to share their investment ideas, inviting comments and criticism from their peers. A vivid depiction of these luncheons can be found in Chapter 16 of ‘The Money Game’ titled ‘Lunch At Scarsdale Fats’.

The author of the book concluded that Bob’s luncheons were instrumental in acquiring the finest research in the country. In line with Bob’s commitment to client interests, innovative thinking, and professional excellence, Scarsdale Equities LLC was founded to carry on his legacy.
