Provest Inc was founded in 1989 by Robert Hochwalt as an acquisition/holding company for its principals. Over the years, Provest completed 10 acquisitions and repositioned them into 5 companies, aiming to increase earnings and sustainability. During this period, Hochwalt and advisor Aaron Delidow developed an effective process that could be applied to any business.

In 2005, Hochwalt and Delidow decided to re-tool Provest into a full-service business brokerage, leveraging their skills and knowledge in the open market. As a result, Provest Inc was reborn with Delidow becoming a partner. Today, Provest remains dedicated to helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams of business ownership.

Provest offers a turn-key, guided experience to both buyers and sellers. The engagement begins with a thorough due diligence process to assess the capacity and viability of completing an acquisition. This includes a walk-through and in-depth valuation of the business to determine its fair market value.

Provest works closely with the business owner to prepare the company for sale, including the hiring and effective installation of the appropriate management team to ensure a smooth transfer of operations. Additionally, Provest leverages its extensive database of business owners and relationships to connect potential buyers and sellers.

To ensure the appropriate allocation and application of funds, minimize taxes, and preserve business integrity, Provest negotiates and structures the acquisition/exit. They work with both the client’s professionals and their own team of financial institutions, CPAs, corporate attorneys, and financial advisors.
